How to Frame Your Studio Canvas

How to Display Your Print

Your canvas arrives rolled in a protective hard-shell tube. Before you do anything else, put on the white cotton gloves from your package.
Unroll the canvas face down on a clean flat surface. Place a few heavy books on the corners and leave it for a couple of hours. The natural curl will relax on its own.

Option A: Have It Stretched (Recommended)

Take the tube to a local picture framer and ask for stretching on wooden bars. While you are there, ask about a shadow gap frame, sometimes called a floater frame. This creates a small gap between the canvas and the molding so the artwork appears to float off the wall. It is exactly how Dusko's original oil paintings hang in the gallery.
This is the easiest option and the result looks the most considered.

Option B: Stretch It Yourself

Our sizes match standard stretcher bar kits available at any art supply store or online. The canvas includes a 6 cm border on all sides specifically for wrapping around the bars and stapling to the back. No special tools required, just patience and a flat surface.

Option C: Frame It Flat

Trim the white border with a sharp cutter and place the canvas inside a standard picture frame. We recommend adding a passepartout to give the image some breathing room behind the glass.
